Our initiative seeks to protect primary forests, restore degraded areas, and biologically connect biodiversity, promoting sustainable development for local people and establishing a scientific station in the most biodiverse location in the Amazon rainforest of southern Ecuador and northern Peru—an undiscovered treasure that is, unfortunately, critically threatened by logging, ranching, agriculture, and mining.
Join us in conserving these megadiverse forests.
Please help us raise the remaining $27,500 By December 31, 2025 to purchase 80 hectares (200 acres) of Amazon rainforest and expand the nature reserve.
We extend our sincere thanks to the 44 contributors who helped us raise $12,515 during the June–August campaign. Thanks to their support, we are protecting this new parcel of land and expanding the nature reserve to 232 hectares.
Preserving the forests of the Morona River and the Shaime mountain range is urgent!
In this area, deforestation threatens one of the most valuable ecosystems in southern Ecuador, which has been little studied by science. The expansion of this Nature Reserve and the establishment of a scientific station seek to promote a rapid response to halt the accelerated destruction of the Amazon rainforest, protect unique species, and prevent the release of stored carbon, thus contributing to the fight against climate change and the global 30x30 strategy. By supporting the conservation of this territory, we are promoting an EPICENTRE that will foster CONSERVATION and not only protect biodiversity but also ensure a sustainable future for the next generations and our lives.
There are still vast areas of the Amazon that are untouched. It almost seems unreal. Forests from horizon to horizon. As far as the eye can see. Unbroken. Ancient. Untouched. There are still parts of this world that are pristine.
